RAAHEE is an Indian singer-songwriter, composer and music producer whose musical journey began in Indore in 2006. What started with music production, live keyboard performances and stage shows gradually evolved into a career spanning television background scores, Hindi and Marathi films, music arrangements and original compositions.
The Beginning — Indore, 2006
RAAHEE began producing music while performing as a keyboard player at Navratri events and stage productions. These early experiences helped him develop his musical instincts and understand the discipline of working with performers and production teams.
A New Life in Mumbai — 2010
In 2010, RAAHEE moved to Mumbai with his late father, Shri Pradeep Raj Jain, carrying little more than a suitcase and the determination to establish himself in the music industry.
They spent approximately one and a half months in a 150-year-old dharamshala, paying ₹150 a day, before moving into a modest one-room kitchen home in a Bhayandar chawl.
RAAHEE began working on background music under Abhijeet Hegdepatil, known professionally as K.K., earning ₹10,000 a month.
Over the years, he worked on television shows, low-budget Marathi and Hindi films, and music arrangements for other composers, while continuing to develop his own creative work. Between 2010 and 2018, his monthly earnings grew to approximately ₹2.5 lakh, reflecting years of consistent work and professional growth.
The JAM8 Studios Chapter — 2020
A turning point came in 2020 when his friend Vibhu Sharma helped him secure an opportunity at JAM8 Studios, part of Prime Focus.
At JAM8, RAAHEE [Reenam Jain] continued working on background scores while gaining opportunities to compose original songs for client briefs. Head of operations Tanvi Maru recognised his potential and helped him explore new opportunities in composition.
It was during this period that a brief for a song in Soorya arrived at the studio. Several artists submitted their versions, and RAAHEE’s composition was selected for development.
A Mainstream Hindi Film Composing Debut
“Suniyo Zara Suniyo” marks a significant milestone in RAAHEE’s career, serving as his mainstream Hindi film composing debut. The song features in Soorya, starring Sunny Deol and Ravi Kishan, directed by M. Padmakumar, and produced by Kamal Mukut and Deepak Mukut.
Featuring legendary singers Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu, alongside JAM8’s Anupam Amod, the track also includes additional vocals by RAAHEE.
After years of working behind the scenes, this project represents an important step in RAAHEE’s musical journey, bringing his composition to a wider Hindi film audience. The achievement was made possible in part by the support and encouragement of Tanvi Maru, Head of Operations at JAM8 Studios.
The People Who Matter
RAAHEE remains grateful to his late father, Shri Pradeep Raj Jain, whose support was central to his early journey, as well as to Ankita Jain, Brijmohan Pandey, Head of operations Tanvi Maru of JAM8 Studios, Vibhu Sharma, and Abhijeet Hegdepatil and his family.
Their roles in his journey are part of a story built on persistence, relationships and a lasting commitment to music.
